Beam Up My Stomach, Scotty!

After having kids (2 cuties) and then losing a lot of weight (50 lbs.) pretty rapidly (5 months) my body played a cruel little joke on me.  Instead of rewarding me with a six pack stomach to sing praises about my skin looked like an accordion around my stomach.

(Is it possible to play “I’m sexy and I know it!” on the accordion?)

I did not work this hard to get my body back to just let this constant reminder of the “old me” hang over my jeans.  I did a little research and went with skin tightening.  Here’s why I chose it:

1.  It’s affordable.  Simply Skin (my 1st sponsor!) will do one (1) big area or two (2) smaller areas for $60 if you use the promo code  SHES LOSING IT.  It’s recommended that you do three sessions three weeks apart.  That’s a total cost of $180.  A tummy tuck, by comparison, is $8,400.  Yikes!

2.  There is no surgery involved.  You’re not under the knife.  She uses a little laser beam over your stomach to stimulate your body’s own collagen production.  Does it hurt?  Yeah, a little bit.  But she put numbing cream on first, so it just felt like a little sting, which is nothing in comparison to having a major plastic surgery.

3.  There is no “down time” to recover.  The entire process took less than an hour, I felt completely fine after and I was able to exercise my regular intense routine the next day.

4.  You notice results.  Although this process is not instant (it takes three sessions spread out over time) I did notice an immediate improvement of my own stomach the very next day.  Is the job done?  Not yet.  But for just having done one session I was really impressed.  My husband noticed a difference too, which was nice.

My second session is next week.  I will take some pics so you can see what it’s like.  If you are in the Austin area and want the $60 rate, the promo code is SHES LOSING IT.   This offer is valid until November 3, 2012 (the date of my competition.)  Here is the contact information for Simply Skin:
