Every winter I get very patriotic because if I don’t I get really angry about all the taxes I have to pay. Also, I’m a small business owner which means I have to deal with irate independent contractors wanting me to under-report their incomes. Um, no.
So tax preparation + sugar detox diet + regular mommy crap (laundry, PTA homework, dinner, etc.) + shoulder injury + low income filing due + people yelling at me all day+ p.s. I’m turning 39 in two weeks =
I’M SO STRESSED OUT I CAN’T SEE STRAIGHT
On the plus side I do not have the flu. Also, clearly nothing is life-threatening. I’m just having a crap week.
Here are some things I came up with to lower my cortisol levels:
- Visualize person(s) driving you nuts. Insert kickboxing DVD and pretend they are the target.
- Take a break from taxes to fold laundry. (Yes, this is the single instance where laundry is the preferred choice of task.)
- Fantasize about selling your family business and moving to Costa Rica.
How do you de-stress?
