Hey there all you vegans! I’m not vegan, but sometimes I like to try new things. The people from Nasoya were kind enough to send me Nayonaise and Nayo Whipped to try, which are basically vegan alternatives to traditional mayonnaise. I liked the Nayonaise best. It tasted like light mayo. The Nayo Whipped is sweeter and almost has a tangy taste to it.
If you want to be daring, below is a recipe for vegan “tuna” salad, and by “tuna” I mean “chickpeas”. Of course, if you’re already vegan, this isn’t isn’t really daring at all, it’s just a yummy new recipe.
Tu-Na Salad by Nasoya.
2 tbsp Nayo Whipped
1 (19 ounce) can of chickpeas, drained
Green Onion, chopped
Sea salt, to taste
- Use a food processor or potato masher to break up the chickpeas until they are crumbled. Do NOT over process.
