Ashley Guiles, also known as Glitter Bullet, is an interesting character. This is her second year in the Fitness Division, something she wasn’t sure was even possible. I spoke with her after the Texas State Natural Championships, where she placed 2nd.
“At my heaviest I was 225 lbs. Then, one day, I just started running. I used to love to perform, and after I lost the weight, I wanted to see if I still had it in me.” She clearly does!
What I like about Ashley, is that she is willing to share information about how she trains (which not everyone does) and is also able to laugh at herself. She told me about some of her bloopers she posted on her YouTube channel. This one is pretty funny:
She also told me that she bruised herself so much during practices, she had to start putting bubble wrap around her ribs. But in the end, it was all worth it. This is her routine:
