Meet Us

Lisa Traugott

Hi! I’m Lisa Traugott!

In case you were wondering, here are a few things about me… I live in Austin, Texas with my awesome husband, Henri, and my two children, Rylee Brianna and Henry V.

I’m a Mom’s Choice Award winning writer of the children’s book, “Mind Your Manners Minnie Monster!” which I also illustrated.  (You can buy it on Amazon.com)

Prior to that I was an actress.  I lived in NYC where I performed classical theatre Off Broadway and did national tours playing Scout and Anne Frank in adaptations of “To Kill A Mockingbird” and “The Diary of Anne Frank.”

My biggest claim to fame was playing Paula on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”  It was five lines in the season 4 episode, “Beer Bad.”  The reason I remember this so well is because I still get $3.64 royalty checks for it every quarter.  Here is the clip:

Five years and two kids ago, I used to run marathons with Team In Training/Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in memory of my dad.  I was the  #3 fundraiser in the country for two of the four marathons I ran with them, working with business leaders to help raise over $100k for cancer research in the process.  It was hard on my knees but good for my heart.

Now my husband and I are real estate investors, I’m a Tiger Mom, and (I guess) a novice body builder/blogger.

Daniel Rufini

Hi! This is my first trainer, Daniel Rufini!  (The one who helped me lose all the weight)

You’ll hear about him a lot.  He is a bodybuilder and really good coach.  He recently won 2nd place in his division at the Texas Shredder competition.  Inspired by his mother’s fitness journey and how it improved her life, he became a trainer because he wanted to help people gain knowledge in fitness and live a healthier lifestyle.  He currently lives in Houston and works at a nutrition consultant with My Fit Foods.

If you would like to find out more about training with him, please contact him directly at drufini@kjohnhosting.com and tell him you follow this blog!

Melissa Merritt

Melissa Merritt

Hi!  This is my current trainer, Melissa Merritt!

Mel has won so many figure titles I can’t even list them all.  She is an amazing trainer and I’m thrilled to be part of her all-women’s bodybuilding team, Mel’s Machines.  She is teaching me about nutrition and how to grow lean muscle mass.  Her mantra is “Food is for Fuel, Not Enjoyment.”

You’ll hear a lot about her too, plus about the ladies on the team. You will probably hear a lot about my friend, Kayln.

This is Big Henri

This is my fabulous husband, Henri!  He is busy managing and renovating Cameron Villas, a 27 unit apartment building.  If you want a great place to live at affordable prices, contact him at cameronvillas@yahoo.com.

I write about my husband a lot, partly because I love him and partly because he’s a know-it-all when it comes to bodybuilding, even though he hasn’t done it in years.  In fact, I’ve never seen him work out more than three days in a row.  Whereas I will try every yo-yo diet, work out hardcore for months and still gain weight if I glance at a bagel, Henri eats McDonald’s for breakfast, chips and a cocktail every night, and is still the same pant size he was in high school.  It really makes me want to punch him sometimes…

This is our daughter, Rylee Brianna

Rylee Brianna – Our Little Pixie

At the start of my Bikini Project (January, 2012) she was   4 1/2 years old.  She just started school this year.  She loves all things princess and is a sweet little girl.

This is our son, Henry V

Little Man

At the start of this he was 2 1/2 years old.  He is hell on wheels and keeps us laughing.  He loves all things math and will climb anything, especially if it looks remotely dangerous…

Other Friends and Family include my mom and brother, Dennis, from New Jersey, and my friends Regina, Meghan and Deirdre.  You’ll also hear me talk about Henri’s family from San Diego.

  1. Great blog here, my name is Isaac Hall and I too have competed in body building competitions. Maybe you and I could work on a project in the future that could help millions of people. (Think About It..) I will also follow you. Please do the same if you see fit too.

  2. Hi, I couldn’t find your email address, so I figured I’d comment. I’m working with an award-winning production company and a top-rated national cable network to cast a new docu-series that will explore unique perspectives on parenting — styles like attachment parenting, authoritative parenting, green parenting… you name it, we’re interested in hearing about it.

If there’s any way you can help us spread the word, or recommend someone for the program (maybe even yourself), we’d be very appreciative. Perhaps you’ll find our search worth sharing on Facebook, etc. If you have any questions or concerns, I’m always available to speak with you.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be conducting interviews with prospective parents and families. These interviews will largely take place via webcam, so no travel will be required. Any parents that are interested in being considered are encouraged to get in touch with me as soon as they can.

I invite you to read more details at http://punchedinthehead.com/casting/. Don’t hesitate to be in touch!
